"Keep it simple and easy to follow." That’s my approach with my clients. I help simplify life, disability and critical illness insurances and investment concepts for my clients every day and I show them how they can apply these ideas to their unique situations. When the plan makes sense, it helps them feel more confident in achieving a fulfilled financial future on their own terms.

I’m dedicated to my clients and I put their needs first. I pride myself on a keen ability to listen and get to know them and their financial goals. I find solutions that make sense to their needs and I make sure they have a solid retirement plan so that they’re better prepared for unforeseen life events. My successful client relationships are due, in large part, to the deeply rooted trust that we build together right from the beginning.

I help professionals and their families in the areas of life insurance, investments, retirement, estate and succession planning. I also help clients who have small businesses in areas such as key person insurance partnership protection and employee benefits.

I attended McGill University for Music and Concordia University for Business. I’ve completed my life insurance licence in 1998, mutual funds in Canada licence in 2000 and my Certified Health Specialist designation in 2007. I’m currently working on my Chartered Life Underwriter designation.

I live in Quispamsis, New Brunswick with my wife Tracey and two daughters, Katherine and Victoria. When I’m away from the office, I enjoy reading and travelling with my family. I serve my community on several community boards.

I have a passion for aviation and have earned my pilot’s licence. I hope to fly single-engine aircrafts again soon. More recently, I’ve become interested in photography. I enjoy taking nature photos. I have a special love for photographing birds and animals.

Disability insurance works when you can’t. It can give you tax-free monthly income to help pay expenses if an illness or accident stops you from working. Not all disabilities are so easily recognized. Chronic pain or a mental health issue can also qualify as a disability.

Amina: There’s a plan to achieve all my goals,

Have you thought about getting critical illness insurance?

Now may be the time! Canada Life is offering a 5% reduction in premium on critical illness insurance.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • The reduction in premium is applied to the total premium for the life of the policy, including renewals.
  • Includes additional benefits, reissues (if original policy qualified for the discount) and rated premiums.

Understand the benefits of critical illness insurance

Critical illness can provide you the financial support you need during life’s most challenging moments. Focus on what matters most – getting better and being with family.

Some ways you could use a critical illness insurance payout include:

  • Protect your family savings – manage everyday costs (mortgage, food, vehicle costs, etc.).
  • Unexpected expenses – hospital parking, private or out-of-country medical treatment.
  • Financial planning – helps give you financial control while you’re dealing with a life changing medical condition.
